For the past couple of fashion seasons, the focus was on the top part of the body: big rounded shoulders, boxy silhouettes, oversized tops etc. The silhouette shape was represented by the inverted triangle. This season the triangle turns over 180 degrees and the silhouette gets volume and all the focus on the bottom part. Oversized pants with lowered crotches, maxi skirts, extra fabric everywhere, pleats, gathers. Mostly the attention on the legs is given through shape and not so much by prints or colors.
And the same happens with volume on skirts. Here we talk about a LOT of fabric used to create volume, like Monique Lhuillier or Haider Ackermann maxi skirts below. Or strong colors like in Roksanda Illincic's look.
Another way to draw the eye to the bottom part of the triangle is the material or special manipulation used. Dries Van Noten made metallic intricate ruffles, Issey Miyake used a spaceship-kind of leather, Proenza Schouler a unique metallic painted pleat design. And Celine used an elaborate system of fabric manipulation with harnesses to create volume.

The main trend for pants this season is to be wide. From medium wide to very wide. The colors are subtle, prints or strong colors are not the norm. White, off white, grey and black. Staples that you can easily match with tops. The volume on the bottom part needs something minimal on the top to balance. Like crop tops,simple sweatshirts, fitted shirts and blouses.
Τα φαρδιά παντελόνια είναι εδώ για να μείνουν, από λίγο φαρδι έως πολύ φαρδιά. Τα χρώματα και τα υφάσματα παραμένουν ήσυχα σε λευκό υπόλευκο, γκρι και μαύρο. Στενά ή κοντά τοπ, πουλόβερ και μίνιμαλ μπλούζες είναι ο καλύτεος συνδυασμός.
